Manokamna Jankalyan & Vikas Sanstha (“we”, “us”, “the society”) is a Govt. registered welfare society (Registration No. S-52475/2005) based at 64, Nithari Village, Nangloi, New Delhi. This policy explains what information we collect through our website manokamnajankalyan.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we receive what you type in: your name, your phone number and country code, your email address (if you give it), what you would like to do (for example volunteer, donate, partner or ask for help), and your message. If you call or email us, we receive your number or email address and what you tell us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you open and the date and time. We use this only to keep the website working and secure.

Website statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit our website and which pages they find useful. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device you use and your approximate location (city or region). It does not tell us who you are.

Donations. Our website does not take online payments at present. If you donate by bank transfer, cheque or in kind, we keep the details needed for our accounts and receipts.

How we use your information

  • To reply to you and follow up on what you asked about.
  • To arrange volunteering, donations, partnerships or help for you or your family.
  • To keep our website safe, prevent spam and fix problems.
  • To understand which parts of our website are useful, so we can improve it.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law.

We never sell or rent your information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Language choice: if you switch the website to Hindi or English, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. It is not sent to us.
  • Website statistics: Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) to count visits.
  • Security: our contact form may use a Cloudflare security check (Turnstile) to stop automated spam. It looks at technical information about your browser, not at what you write.
  • Website software: WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, although we may not see your visit in our statistics.

Services we use

To run this website we rely on a few trusted service providers. They receive only the information they need to provide their service:

  • Hostinger hosts our website and its server logs.
  • Google provides website statistics (Google Analytics) and the fonts used on the website (Google Fonts).
  • Cloudflare (cdnjs) and unpkg deliver some of the code that makes the website’s animations work.
  • Gmail is where messages from our contact form arrive.

When your browser loads our pages, it connects to some of these services directly, which means they can see your IP address. Some of them may process information outside India.

Who we share your information with

We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except where the law requires it. We do not pass your details to partner organisations, such as those we work with at health camps, unless you have agreed to it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and contact details only for as long as we need them to respond to you, to run the activity you joined, or to keep the records the law requires. After that we delete them.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it, where we no longer need to keep it;
  • stop using it where you had given consent.

To make a request or a complaint, contact us using the details below. We will reply as soon as we can.

Children

Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping your information safe

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable care to protect the information you send us. No website can be completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as bank or identity details through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
